Across The South Fork
Where you stay shapes the season you get. Our residences sit in Sag Harbor — a former whaling village with the Hamptons' most walkable Main Street — and in Bridgehampton, the agricultural heart of the South Fork, where farm stands and vineyards give way to the ocean in minutes.
Time To Go
Every season brings its own charm to the Hamptons — and vice versa. Summer is the one everybody knows; the other three are the ones worth knowing.
This sleeping beauty shakes her hair and stretches, lush greenness slowly returning to the East End. The days can be deceivingly beautiful — wait for late May for consistent good weather.
ShoulderThe traditional MD–LD rush, Memorial Day to Labor Day. The beaches are literally award-winning and the cuisine multiplies as summer pop-ups cater to the expanded crowd.
Peak · book earlyThings get a little quiet again — still beautiful and nicely weathered on most days, with the crowds gone home and the corner table finally free.
QuietThe hamlets come alive with local celebrations before the winter hibernation. Few places offer such rustic charm for a creative retreat and reflection.
Best valueThe Hamptons, By Us
A typical visit is spent at the beach, in the pool, at the grill, in the restaurant and under the stars — mostly in great company, and not always in that order.
This is true summer retreat territory, where celebrities and locals share the surf and compete for the corner table. Tell your concierge what kind of day you want and we'll shape it around you.
Award-winning sand from Coopers to Main Beach, with permits, chairs and umbrellas arranged before you arrive.
A visit to a local vineyard belongs on every itinerary — the East End wine country sits a short drive north.
The cliff walk around the lighthouse at the very end of the island, and a working harbor beneath it.
A stroll through the sculpture gardens, walks and ice cream in Sag Harbor and Southampton, shopping in East Hampton.
The South Fork's roadside farm stands are the region's real restaurant — and the rest of it is very good too.
Summer tables go weeks in advance and the best of them never advertise. Tell your concierge early and we'll handle the booking.
Corn, tomatoes and flowers picked that morning, sold on the honor system at the end of a field.
Sag Harbor's Main Street keeps the best of the waterside tables, all walkable from the village.
The cuisine multiplies in season as pop-ups cater to the expanded crowd — brief, excellent, and gone by October.
Most restaurants offer a weekday menu at reduced pricing once the summer crowd goes home.
A few things we'd tell a friend before their first Hamptons summer.
The Hamptons reward the unhurried — and the ones who know when not to drive.
In summer, limit your time on the roads to early mornings and late evenings. Traffic gets truly horrific on busy weekends.
Visitors are far better off making sure a good pool is nearby for company and relaxation.
The weather is nearly always good, but the evenings get chilly. Dress accordingly.
Spring and fall give you the same beaches, better rates and a table wherever you like.

The Hamptons Lifestyle
Mornings on the sand, farm stands by the roadside, an afternoon in a village gallery, a table booked for dinner by the harbor. The Hamptons moves at its own pace — and a season here is the surest way to feel it.
Every SEASONAL residence removes the friction of a long stay: the kitchen is stocked, the beds are made, the concierge is a message away. All that's left is the season itself.
“A slice of paradise. Super clean, super comfy, and a host with awesome communication and tips for the area.”
“In the lap of luxury and comfort — exactly as described, and then some. We'll be back next summer.”
