The Neighborhood
This is a neighborhood that rewards the aimless — 19th-century townhouses, window boxes in competition, gas-lamp light that flatters everyone. Days here are made of small perfect things: an espresso on a quiet corner, an hour lost in a bookshop, jazz found behind an unmarked door. The Hudson River Park waits a short walk west for the sunset ritual, and the rest of the city — when you remember it exists — is minutes away. Comfortable, storied and endlessly walkable; the Village doesn't try to impress you. She doesn't have to.

Crooked, tree-lined streets that predate Manhattan's grid, corner bistros and some of the city's most storied village life. It is quiet and residential for somewhere so central, with the Hudson River waterfront a short walk away.
Few neighborhoods are better. It is walkable, storied and quietly self-sufficient — cafés, bookshops, groceries and the river all within a few blocks — and by the second week the baristas know your order. Our stays here run 30 days and up, fully compliant with New York's rental laws.
The 1 at Christopher Street, with the A/C/E and B/D/F/M a few blocks east at West 4th — most of Manhattan is a single ride away.
The 1 train stops at Christopher Street and the A/C/E lines run along 14th Street, putting most of Lower and Midtown Manhattan within twenty minutes. The neighborhood itself is best explored on foot.
It's a jewel box — honestly and intentionally sized for one or two. For a larger party, our Diplomat collection in Midtown East sleeps up to ten, and we're happy to point you there.
